  1. I miss the aromatic old newsprinty paper and dot matrix method of comics coloration. Seems like it was in the 90s they turned into a bunch of fancypantses in the comic industry and wanted to put everything on glossy paper with computerized color fades. Comics were $1.25 when I started reading a lot of them, and then suddenly it was $1.75 or $1.95 and they didn’t even seem as good.

    1. They were 35 cents when I started.
      Yeah, I miss the smell of the cheap paper. I remember comic book shops reeked of it. I actually think it’s good they’re using better paper. All those old comics are crumbling away now. Simple exposure to light and air decomposes them.
